Coronavirus Updates: Subscribe to dokuz8NEWS’ daily coronavirus newsletter

As coronavirus Covid-19 has been confirmed in Turkey, dokuz8NEWS made a call to establish the biggest digital newsroom in Turkey. With participation of hundreds of citizen journalists, dozens of regional media organizations and civil society organizations, the biggest digital citizen journalism network in Turkey has assumed a role in coverage of coronavirus agenda in Turkey.

Over 35 people of various professions including communications experts, doctors, medical researchers, union representatives, psychologists, verification & fact-checking experts, legal counsellors & lawyers and technologists joined dokuz8NEWS’ digital newsroom in this process while over 40 people volunteered to become translators.

Not only dokuz8NEWS covers local agenda in Turkish and English but also closely follows developments around the world.


During this process, dokuz8NEWS has also initiated a newsletter with the theme of “Coronavirus Updates” which covers the daily developments, official statements, government positions, newly implemented restrictions, state of the health sector, quarantine news, travel and movement status, impact of the virus on economy as well as infographics prepared by dokuz8NEWS’ Data Team.
