There have been multiple reports in media on personal armament and People's Special Ops Association that has been operating since the July 15 coup attempt. Ministry of Interior has started investigation into the activities of the association.

PSO had been brought to attention with claims of encouraging personal armament and operating under governing Justice and Development Party (AKP) supervision in the aftermath of July 15 (2016) coup attempt.
Ministry of Interior has issued a statement saying that the association under the title of PSO that has appeared in media with activities that are considered unlawful has been put under investigation.
The ministry also issued a criminal complaint regarding another organisation operating under the same title online, without any connection to the PSO association.
